Quiet community with plenty of green space. Welcome to Living in Applewood.
The Applewood community is bounded by Burnhamthorpe Road to the north, Ponytrail Drive to the east, Dundas Street to the south, and on the west side by Cawthra Road. Take advantage of Applewood’s location if you need to commute to Toronto for work. Being in the east end of Mississauga, Applewood offers plenty of options for commuters like the QEW/Gardiner down the road and the 427 just to the east. If you’re looking for tree lined streets, plenty of parks and easy access to Toronto, living in Applewood might just be for you.
Applewood is a great area for you if you are looking for a bit more square footage and are willing to take on a bit of a project in a slightly older home. Many homes have decent size yards as well so there is a lot to like about the options in this neighbourhood.
The Dixie GO station is in the area and will get you into downtown Toronto within 30 minutes during rush hour. The QEW/Gardiner is also just down the road so Applewood is a good choice for those looking for a simple commute.
There are many parks throughout Applewood that are nice spots to take your family for an afternoon. The Applewood Trail is a 3 km trail that runs alongside Little Etobicoke Creek. There are many places to stop for a picnic, a game of soccer, or grab your bike and check out the scenery as you ride along the trail.
Applewood is a short drive from many shopping destinations such as Sherway Gardens and Square One. There are also many big box stores along Dundas St. such as Costco and Wal Mart so everything you need will be close by.
