Looking to live in the heart of Mississauga and close to everything? Welcome to Living in Cooksville.
The Cooksville community is bounded by Central Parkway to the north, Cawthra Road to the east, the QEW to the south, and on the west side by Mavis Road. Cooksville is a very multicultural area with people from all over the world residing in the heart of Mississauga. You can find some great cultural food options throughout the area such as the fantastic middle eastern cuisine at Tarboosh Restaurant. Whether you are looking for a condo near Hurontario and Dundas or a home with a yard in Huron Park, living in Cooksville might just be for you.
Cooksville is located in the south part of the city, nestled in between Port Credit and the City Centre. The QEW/Gardiner is a quick drive away, the 403 is just up the road off of Hurontario and the Cooksville GO can get you into downtown Toronto in approximately 30 minutes during busy times.
There are a great variety of options throughout Cooksville, depending on your price range. There are many condos and townhouses closer to Hurontario, in addition to plenty of detached options with larger yards to the west towards Mavis and the east towards Cawthra.
The community centre has something for everyone looking to stay active. Huron Park features baseball and soccer fields, an arena for hockey and skating, outdoor beach volleyball courts and a large basketball gymnasium. There are plenty of fitness and sports classes available throughout the year.
In 2016, a long-term plan was put in place by city council to revamp and revitalize the Hurontario/Dundas area, which is right in the heart of Cooksville. The plan will include new housing options, improved transit access and green space.
