The Lisgar community is bounded by Argentia Road to the north, Tenth Line to the east, Britannia Road to the south, and on the west side by Ninth Line. Lisgar is a great option for families looking to purchase their first home. The area has some excellent school options and their are plenty of parks and paths to take advantage of. You’ll also be very close to many grocery stores and shopping choices. If you’re looking for a community with many new build options that are more affordable than other areas of the city, living in Lisgar might just be for you.

The Commute

Lisgar is located in the northwest corner of Mississauga. The 401, 403 and 407 are close by to get you across the city. There is also the Lisgar GO station that will get you into downtown Toronto in approximately 50 minutes during rush hour times.

Osprey Marsh Loop Trail

The marsh is an excellent place to head for a peaceful walk or run. There are many different species of birds and animals throughout the marsh so it is definitely worth taking your time to have a look around and see which ones you can spot.

The Shopping

In the heart of the Lisgar neighbourhood, you will find an area full of shopping options and big box stores at the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road. There you will find Home Depot, Wal Mart, Best Buy and many more options.

Many Feathers Market

The Many Feathers Market is a farmer’s market held at the Lisgar GO station and runs from June to October each year. Here you will find fresh produce, local meats, and some specialty booths as well. The market is also bike friendly and pet friendly so bring your pooch along to check it out.

Lionheart British Pub and Restaurant:

Lionheart is a great neighbourhood pub that has live music and a trivia night. Plenty of great beers on tap and make sure to try the British burger, covered in Guinness BBQ sauce.

The Keg Steakhouse and Bar:

The staff at the Lisgar location of the Keg is excellent and will make your evening out a pleasant one. The steaks are always perfectly cooked and you can't go wrong with the garlic mashed potatoes on the side.

Lucy's Sea Cove and Oyster Bar:

This is the spot in the neighbourhood to head to for a great selection of seafood dishes and delicious oysters. Stop in on a Thursday when the oysters are on special.

Driving:

As Lisgar is located in the northwest part of Mississauga, it will take you 50-70 minutes or so to get to downtown Toronto using the 401, 403 or 407.

GO Train:

The Lisgar GO Station may be a better option than driving as you will get to Union Station within 50 minutes during rush hour. Check out the GO schedule below:
